Ohhhhh I just adore the missionaries here in Iowa. They are both from the west. AKA normalville. So they understand what's crack-a-lackin. Elder Redder and Elder Diamond (or should I say Dimmond because he always pronounces my name wrong, on purpose!) enjoy teasing me, A LOT. So it's only fair that I do it back, right? Hehehe....
Last Tuesday, they came over to my house for dinner. We were all talking and they said they've always wanted a picture of them in a cornfield. So after dinner, we drove up to our cornfield for my mom to take pictures of them. While the Elder's were on the hill posing, I took a peek at their car, and noticed they had left the keys on the seat. I was oh so tempted to stow away in their vehicle and drive away into the sunset. But obviously, they'd see me. Instead, I sneakily snatched the keys and put them in my pocket.
When the missionaries were done modeling, they started walking towards their car. We said goodbye and thanked them for their stay. Fi Fi (age 3) continuously screamed, " WE LOVE YOU!" and then they got in their transportation device. Contained with a mountain of excitement, I bursted into laughter and started running away. When my mom saw that their car wasn't moving and I was cackling more wickedly than the Wicked Witch of the West herself, she knew something was up.
"Hey!" Elder Redder called out, and I ran back and gave them their keys, starting a tradition I would always practice.
So I hung out with the missionaries again today, after LA's baptism. We chatted and whatnot, impressed them with our 15 inch t.v. in our car, they teased me about all the boys in the ward, and they stole my LAST pack of gum. That was the last straw. Lyric and I dashed to their car, searching for the keys. (They left their car unlocked) But, NO LUCK. Instead, I was going to snatch Elder "Dimmond's" favorite buzzer toy, when Lyric suggested we take a yellow tie lying on the floor.
"Do you guys notice anything different about Honore?" Lyric said.

"Hey that's my tie!" Elder "Dimmond" chimed, "But it's ok, you can wear it."
Darn. My plan for revenge backfired.
But as we were driving home, I noticed I was still wearing the tie. WHOOPS! The missionaries were driving right behind us, so I held the tie out the window waving the strip of fabric in the wind. They just laughed and I'll probably give it back to them on Tuesday, when they come over for dinner. That is, if they stop teasing me!
xoxo
