Today my family went to Water Works Park and swam in the lake! Mmmm, the cold water felt so nice because it was scorching outside. Heat + Humidity = not a happy camper. And to think my mom tried to make me do chores! Ewwww. Haha jk but she did try to get me to trim the hedges. Outside? No thanks. So I ran away from home. AKA to the mailbox and back. But all I really, REALLY wanted to do was go to the library for some neurological stimulation. Jeez! Couldn't this woman see I craved knowledge? Apparently, I'm just not cute enough to get out of doing chores, unlike my little sisters.

"Mom, can we pretty please go swimming at the lake today?"

"Why of course, sweetie!"

Should I have done more pretty's on my please? Should I have made my mom cookies? Should I wear my black or pink swimsuit? What should I be when I grow up? How many toes do I have on my left foot? Please help a girl out and give me some advice on how to get to the library ASAP!

P.S. While we were there, the cutest little kids came up to me wanting to play with our huge floatie thing. The littlest, a chubby, big blue-eyed, 2 year old baby girl, just wanted me to hold her. Awwwww!

She was the most adorable little thing since sliced bread! Her older sister, who was 4 years old, became envious of this posh treatment. So I had held her, too.
