I like Iowa

I like Iowa. I like how Aaron comes over to my house everyday with a smile and fresh lemonade or cookies. I like how Taylor and Katie are brother and sister and BOTH my friends without fighting or arguing. I like how deliriously tired Abby and I get at our sleepovers and make a bazillion videos of our soberness. I like that all the boys are so nice and willing to put up with Felicity when she begs them to hold her. I like how honest Laura is in telling us that Aaron doesn't need friends because he has a FORT and a GUN. Haha I can totally just be myself, all the time. No one is afraid to show who they really are. I know this trip has really strengthened mine and Lyric's relationship, mainly because she is the only one who gets my jokes, but she also understands me, especially when we always have Yo Mamma offs with Aaron.

Everyone is just so down to earth and caring. When our vacuum cleaner broke, Brother Rogers immediately offered to vacuum our house. When we didn't have a lawn mower, the missionaries and Brother Huntoon came to mow our lawn in a flash. And our lawn is HUGE! Brother Peterson was always over helping to fix things. L.A. taught me how to fish. Aaron taught me how to drive his car, on the REAL road, through TOWN. Brother Shaner taught me how to properly flip someone off. Ammon let me drive his car and blast girl music even when he was almost out of gas. Becky made me a yearly planner all cute and frilly. Britt made me going away brownies. Cameron willingly wanted to get our car out of the mud when it was stuck, no matter what. Bev, Aaron's mom, was over in a heartbeat to pull us out. Aaron's family gave us freshly milked milk almost every week. Kelly gave my little sisters stuffed animals to play with since we didn't have many toys. The Hammes' had us over for dinner and gave us their kittens. Honestly, everyone here is just so thoughtful and considerate. You don't get people this nice in a big city, especially when you don't even know them that well. I don't just like Iowa, I love it.

Sincerely,
Honore
