HOMECOMING MALFUNCTION

All summer long I was fantasizing the most edgy, popping homecoming dress. I wanted so desperately to have something fresh to wear, and not the usual silk-taffetta, empire waist with sequins. These were my inspirations: 

Super cool right?! It would incorporate the hot neon trend, but still look sophisticated enough for a formal event. Of course it's nearly impossible to find a neon dress (somewhere close to trying to find your best friend in between classes at a 5A high school) so I ordered fabric and my mom would make my dress. (She could upholster your car, bible!) I ordered it 3 weeks ago. It came last night. Homecoming is in a week. And the fabric is sage green. SAGE GREEN. In no way does it even come close to what I envisioned. I AM IN TEARS. Clear the malls because I am an emotional wreck on the hunt for a homecoming dress. Haha just kidding, but wish me luck anyway!
